Art x Charity

Platform 09 is an annual event erected in the rocky terrains of Fujairah. The mid-summer event is described as an experiment in community and art. Each year its principles adapt, but all following the objective of raising money for charity through mediums within art.

Tinkah was invited to concept this event from the very beginning. Working closely with the client, we developed the event purpose, the event name & brand, through to the environment and on-site project management.

The 2017 concept focussed on elevating the whole community to become artists themselves. On every turn within the space, large platforms floated within the center of the space and presented various artistic endeavors, provoking a dialogue and also debate amongst its visitors. The end result was a 90 strong collection of exhibitors coming together to showcase their talents. Also included was a food park, outdoor cinema, 9 digital activations and an art gallery exhibiting the work of Damian Hurst and Banksy.
