Established in 2014, Carlos Gris Studio is committed to bettering the built environment and using design to invoke emotion. We specialise in the creation of buildings, experiences, environments, installations and objects – with a special focus on the natural world and projects that enhance their social offering.

Obsessed with research and fabrication processes, we are in a state of constant exploration. Whether it is studying the observer perspective within an environment, using innovative and tactile materials or researching the history of a subject – creating a narrative is always the priority. However, the process we follow is individually tailored to each project, with no fixed aesthetic. We simply aim to make sure that the project responds to its surrounding context and to find beauty in its simplest form.

More recently, Carlos Gris Studio has developed a specialism with unusual architectural projects in locations that might traditionally have been overlooked. Previously, we have designed a bird sanctuary set within an agricultural landscape, an eco-sculpture on the backdrop of the Arabian Desert and articulated installations for international galleries.
